Currently, process simulation with INOSIM software is being taught at several German universities and is being applied within national and international research projects. For the above applications, we offer academic software licenses under special conditions.

Academic INOSIM licenses include:

• Full version (Expert Edition) of our industrial software
• Complete license maintenance, updates, and support

When purchasing INOSIM software licensed for academic teaching or research purposes, each academy must commit to using the software only for the education of its regular students, resp. for academic, non-commercial research. Please note that it is forbidden to carry out any engineering study or consulting service for third parties using the academic version of the software, even if this would be free of charge. Application beyond purely academic research institutions, for example, commercial or industrial research institutions or publicly funded projects (BMBF, EU, US, etc.), is explicitly forbidden.

INOSIM licenses for academics or research adhere to the terms of use for INOSIM software as well as the rights and duties of the parties involved.

Available License Agreements for application in Teaching and Research

• Renewable annual license: The initial duration of the agreement is one year. This period is then tacitly renewed annually (unless the agreement is terminated by one of the parties). The license fee is payable each year, upfront, for as long as the agreement is valid.
• Long-term license: The long-term license is covering between 1 and 12 years. The license expires at the end of the specified period and is not tacitly renewed. The license fee requested is payable only once, upfront, for the full period.
