Socializing, enjoyment, and a playful competition made this year’s summer festival an attractive event for all participants. Some of the 20 INOSIM employees and their relatives even acted as race drivers: At the world’s longest indoor go–kart track in the south of Dortmund, Germany, it was all about starting positions, driving technique, laps, and seconds.
High-end curve racing: Driver’s skill paid off in seconds at the “Grand Prix of INOSIM”
Just two hours before the competition, the group had gathered in a Dortmund café for the traditional introductory Summer Festival Coffee Chat. Many already demonstrated their “professional” attitude here, limiting themselves to salty pretzels and herbal tea to be optimally prepared for the subsequent kart race. Others, however, were less able to resist the temptations of cream cake, cocoa, and more stuff like that. This went so far that several participants did not even register for the competition. But, well, every sport needs spectators, after all…
The first racing tactics were discussed over coffee
What followed was an enthusiastic race at the go-kart track, in which the winners, losers, and spectators all had a good time. In the end, there was a dignified award ceremony, and the first-place winners enjoyed the authentic experience of what it feels like to stand on the famous winner’s podium.
Almost like Daytona: The winners celebrated their success together on the podium
At the final dinner with Chinese specialties, Peter Balling, INOSIM’s managing director, was pleased to have offered the employees an attractive party once more: “It was especially nice this year to welcome some new faces to the INOSIM Family. Just like in a real family, we have both young and old, and everyone is equally welcome. That everyone is included makes up the strength, the performance, and not least the general well-being at INOSIM!”
A symbol of connection: The evening at the round table felt relaxed, enjoyable, and communicative.
