On September 26, 2024, the 13th meeting of the Process Simulation Working Group will take place in Würzburg, as part of the Smart Process Manufacturing Congress.

The Process Simulation Working Group

The Process Simulation Working Group is an open forum for simulation-enthusiastic engineers. The biannual meetings focus on the technology-neutral exchange about the diverse application areas of process simulation and its challenges in practice.

Data-Driven Modeling

This time, we have chosen to focus on the topic of data-driven modeling. Guided by the following key questions, we are creating a successful mix of presentations and workshop elements as a basis for sharing experiences, productive discussions and the development of new ideas among the participants.

• Preparation of historical data for the determination of simulation parameters: is it always the mean value?
• What are the requirements for (partially) automated model creation? And what is the future for us “simulants”?
• Simplified model maintenance through “synchronization” with engineering platforms, and vice versa?
  

From INOSIM’s Innovation Department, you can already expect an outlook on partially automated model creation, as well as a demonstration of a dashboard for comparing historical process data with model parameters. The final agenda will be published shortly.
